Martial arts are some of the most physically and mentally demanding sports to participate in. In order to stay injury free and get the best from your body, you need to make sure that bodywork is a regular feature of your conditioning programme.
Bodywork - which involves a range of techniques such as myofascial release, soft tissue manipulation, deep tissue massage, hot and cold stones, mobilising joints and facilitated stretching - is one of the most important parts of the process of caring for your body. Regular treatments are an effective way to aid recovery, prevent injury (especially from overuse), improve range of motion through joints, reduce pain, improve sleep and decrease tension in both fascia and muscles. The physiological and psychological benefits of massage make it an ideal compliment to a total conditioning program. Bodywork also plays an important role in the management and rehabilitation of injuries such as strains, sprains, tendonitus etc., all of which can be frustrating and prevent you from performing at your best.

Assessment and Bodywork £60 (90mins)
A longer session where we assess your posture & range of movement as well as doing bodywork. It is very useful if you have an injury, problem with your movement or chronic pain. You will be given advice at the end of your session with regards to suitable exercises or self-care modalities which you can use to help get yourself back to balance.
Bodywork £40 (60 mins)
A specialised, dedicated treatment where we work together to target areas of pain, improve range of motion and aid in overall well-being. Maintenance sessions work best taken every 4 weeks, and massage can also be scheduled pre- and post important events such as competitions to aid with recovery.
